Anne Helen Toomey is an associate professor of environmental studies and science at Pace University who studies how human geography and policy interact and affect environmental research and practice in both rural and urban environments. Her work has been featured in The Conversation, the scientific news website Massive Science, and the podcast Future Tense. She is an affiliate researcher at the Center for Science Communication Research at the University of Oregon and at the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
